Meet Our Team

Cara Wideman

Cara has been part of the Emmanuel Church family her whole life and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the church this summer. She is currently in college studying Early Childhood Education and brings a kind, welcoming, and organized presence to the office. Ryan Johnson

Youth Director

livingthroughgrace@live.ca

Ryan and his wife Jolene live in Elmira with their four energetic boys.  He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a degree in Pastoral ministries.  Although Ryan masquerades as a tractor mechanic during the day, his real passion is helping people, such as youth,  see the joys and blessings of life.  And if he isn’t watching a SpaceX launch, he is building Star wars Lego sets.

What We Believe

At Emmanuel, we keep Jesus at the centre of everything we do. We aim for unity in what matters most, grace where we differ, and love in everything.

We’re part of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada, an extended family of churches that stands in agreement with the historic teachings of the Christian faith. Our Articles of Faith, while not exhaustive, seek to clarify what we hold as foundational to Christian doctrine in accordance with the life and teaching of Jesus and the Bible.
